Rehab Begins Today

This is, Clint Chapman, coming to you all on behalf of Chris (don't you all get too used to my pretty face though; Chris will be typing these himself here shortly)!!!

Chris would like to start off by saying, "Thank you for all of the support." We are all very gratefull to have such wonderful family & friends; the support has been nothing but amazing.

Okay let's get to the good stuff... Good news from Reno, NV. Since this injury taking place last weekend, Chris has made great strides in such a short amount of time. He was transferred out of ICU to his own room after under going two major surgeries, and then transferred to the Renown Rehabilitation Center to start his rehab program. In that time, Chris has been able to twitch two of his toes on his left foot two different times, so there is plenty of hope. Chris also has full sensation to touch which is very good news with this type of injury. He has been getting stronger everyday, and is very excited to begin his rehabilitation process. Physical therapy has started today, so more good news to come in the near future.

Thank you again for all of the love & support.....

Onward!

  1. Thanks Clint for the update...we are looking forward to you Chris being able to update us yourself. The rehab will be tough if you compares 2 a day football practice to rehab it will seem like that was only a warm up for a real workout. Thats OK we know how tough you are and each day you will see the rewards of your hard work.

  6. Clint,

Thanks for the update. That's great news! Hopefully you guys can get down there this weekend and see him. I would imagine that in a matter of a few days, his progress will be much more than initially anticipated... sounds like he is on his way to a quick recovery.

    Chris,

That is some great news, and I would imagine it is also some great motivation to keep you going. It seems like we are all looking forward to seeing your first post regarding your progress. there are a ton of people who want me to relay to you that you are in their thoughts and prayers, and they too are hoping for a fast and successful recovery. I hope you get well soon.

Also, I hope all is well with your folks and Maria; you are surrounded by an amazing support group. I would guess that they are hanging in there because it sounds like you are getting better. thanks you guys for helping my friend recover from this; I look forward to seeing him on the mountain next season, trying to keep up.
