Clint Chapman here with another update... Couple administrative items to take care of first; thank you to all that are contributing to the Chris Chapman Recovery Fund. You that have donated are very generous, and we are all very grateful on this end.
Second, Shawn Reilly and myself are putting on an Inaugural Chris Chapman Recovery Fund Golf Tournament where all proceeds will go to the fund. Please mark your calendars for August 21st in Reno, NV at D'Andrea Golf Course. There will be more to come shortly on this event, and YES, Chris will be present for this one.
Alright, let's get to business! Chris finished his first week of rehab, and had a very good week. He is making giant strides in getting his strength back everyday, which is very good news. Doc is saying that he is on schedule, and doing all of the things that he needs to be doing (and doing it with a great attitude to boot)...
Another very exciting step in his progress was this last Friday night. Doc actually cleared Chris to go to the Carrie Underwood Concert with us. So, Chris and Maria joined Jennie and I for that. It was a big leap for him to get out of the hospital for the first time since his injury, and was really enjoying himself. So, as you can see, all good stuff coming from Chris to date. More to follow soon.....
Onward!

Little Man,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see you over the weekend. We are really excited with your progress and your positive attitude through everything. It was nice to meet your boss and his family and know you are being taken care of so well by them.
Keep up the good fight and know we are there for you and Maria in whatever you need. Have a good second week of rehab and keep working on that upper body. We will be down to see you in a couple weeks.
Clint, thanks for the update. Let us know if you, Jen and Billie need anything from the Elko area.
Love,
Tom and Diane
Chris, Clint & Family,
ReplyDeleteYou continue to be in our thoughts and prayer. Super excited to read all of the great accomplishments to date that Chris has had in his recovery and the fact that he was able to attend the concert is very uplifting. Clint please let us know if there is anything we can do to help with the golf tourney. We are not golfers but we are good at working tourney's and if you need t'shirts or something along those lines I work in Carson City with Carl and we do printing so maybe we could help in that way. Just let us know...we so would love to help. My phone number is 775-772-8875. I will let Danyelle know the date and maybe she could come up and help as well. Lot's of love to you and the family. Chris continue to work hard it is definatley paying off!
